قطب الدین ایبکQutb-ud-din Aibak,


(دور حکومت 1206ء تا 1210ء)

یہ برصغیر کا پہلا مسلمان بادشاہ تھا جس نے پہلی دفعہ دہلی میں اسلامی حکومت کی بنیاد رکھی جو دہلی سلطنت کے نام سے مشہور ہوا۔ یہ نسلاً ترک تھا۔ ایک سوداگر اس کو ترکستان سے خرید کر نیشا پور لے آیا اور قاضی فخرالدین عبدالعزیز کے 
ہاتھوں فروخت کردیا۔ 

جس نے اس کو سلطان شہاب الدین غوری کی خدمت میں پیش کیا۔ سلطان نے کثیر رقم دے کر اسے خرید لیا۔ شکل و صورت کافی عجیب ہونے کے علاوہ ایک چھنگلیا بھی ٹوٹی ہوئی تھی۔

 اس لیے لوگ اس کو ایبک شل (خستہ انگشت) کہتے تھے۔ لیکن نہایت ہی ذہین شخص تھا۔

قطب الدین نے رفتہ رفتہ اپنی ذہانتوں اور صلاحیتوں کا سکہ سلطان پر بٹھا کر اس کا قرب حاصل کر لیا۔ 1192ء میں سلطان محمد غوری نے دہلی اور اجمیر فتح کرکے قطب الدین کو ان کا گورنر مقرر کیا۔ اگلے سال سلطان نے قنوج پر چڑھائی کی۔ اس جنگ میں قطب الدین ایبک نے اپنی وفا داری اور سپہ گری کا ایسا ثبوت دیا کہ سلطان نے اس کو فرزند بنا کر فرمان فرزندی اور سفید ہاتھی عطا کیا۔ قطب الدین کا ستارہ اقبال چمکتا گیا۔

 اور اسکی فوجیں گجرات، راجپوتانہ، گنگا جمنا کے دوآبہ، بہار اور بنگال میں نصرت کا پرچم لہراتی ہوئی داخل ہوئیں ۔ جب سلطان شہاب الدین غوری نے 15 مارچ 1206ء کو جہلم کے قریب وفات پائی تو ایبک نے جون 1206ء کو لاہور میں 
اپنی تخت نشینی کا اعلان کر دیا۔

قطب الدین ایبک کی گورنری کا زمانہ فتوحات میں گزرا تھا۔ تخت پر بیٹھ کر اس نے امور سلطنت پر توجہ دی۔ اس کا بیشتر وقت نوزائیدہ اسلامی سلطنت میں امن و امان قائم رکھنے میں گزرا۔ عالموں کا قدر دان تھا۔ اور اپنی فیاضی اور دادودہش کی وجہ سے تاریخ میں لکھ بخش کے نام سے بھی مشہور ہوا۔ نومبر 1210ء میں لاہور میں چوگان (پولو) کھیلتے ہوئے گھوڑے سے گر کر راہی ملک عدم ہوا اور انار کلی کے 
ایک کوچے (ایبک روڈ) میں دفن ہوا۔

Declared his throne.

Pole-Din Aibak governors had spent time victories. Sit on the throne of his kingdom were focused on issues. The newborn spent most of the time to maintain peace in the Islamic Republic. Scholars had to appreciate. Also known by the name of profit on the date for its generosity and dadudhs.
